My 405th Journal Entry

Hi, Journal!

The 105th thing I love about my boyfriend is, he really hangs in there when dungeon-mastering for his friends. For some reason, even though most of us haven't been rpging nearly as long as his buddies have, all of us Worthy girls manage to stay on track a lot better than his weekly virtual play session with his friends. I listen in sometimes and even I can tell they're walking right past a bunch of big clues he's giving them of how to find the secret whatever-majig it is they're looking for. But he hangs in there and keeps finding fun and funny things for their characters to do!

He's very good at DMing!

My 404th Journal Entry

Hi, Journal!

The 104th thing I love about my boyfriend is, I always know where to find him!

(That's a joke in case you didn't notice this was journal entry 404, like when the computer says, "404 error not found." Pretty funny, right, Journal? But it's not just a joke that I love always knowing where to find him. That part's definitely not an error!)

My 403rd Journal Entry

Hi, Journal!

The 103rd thing I love about my boyfriend is, he's picky but not too picky. See, because he's picky, I get to feel like, well, he picked me, so I must be pretty special! But if he was lots more picky, he wouldn't be much fun to hang out with, because people who only just complain all the time are kind of a downer, and I feel like the pickier you are, probably the more you complain.

I'm definitely not as picky as he is ... but even if I was, I would still pick him!

My 402nd Journal Entry

Hi, Journal!

The 102nd thing I love about my boyfriend is what a sucker he is for when our pets want something out of him. If they had fingers he would be totally wrapped around their little ones, because all they have to do is meow or whine and he feels all bad for them and goes and does something to try and make them feel better. Not always exactly the thing they want, because that's usually food or snackies, and they'd all be huge-o roly-polies by now if he gave them all the snackies they wanted. But he'll pet them or play with them with a stick and string toy.

Sometimes I purr at him to get things I want!

My 401st Journal Entry

Hi, Journal!

Whoosh! I feel like I'm really getting the hang of this journaling thing now that I'm over the 400 hump and have been blogging every day for like, hundreds of days!

Okay, back to my list!

The 101st thing I love about my boyfriend is, to make up for sometimes being too hard on himself, other times he says to heck with it and treats himself. It's really nice to be able to tell him, "Yay! Good job, honey!" Even if the treat is just, like, a coffee drink from somewhere.

My 400th Journal Entry

Hi, Journal!

Happy 400th birthday!

I'm pretty proud of us for getting here. Maybe it's kind of silly since a lot of my journal entries are awfully short -- but it still feels like a big accomplishment!

And I couldn't have done it without you!

I guess maybe I could make this an extra-long entry, not just an extra-celebrationy one. Like, I could figure out some goals for future journaling. But jeepers, I won't even be done with my list of things I love about my boyfriend until entry number 650!

I guess I could start a whole other blog for the rest of that list.

That would be four whole blogs I'm working on at once though! It sounds kind of tiring.

Well, I'll think about it and hopefully decide before tomorrow.

Bye, and Happy 400 again!

My 399th Journal Entry

Hi, Journal!

The 100th thing I love about my boyfriend is that he thinks numbers are cool. I don't mean, like, all numbers being equally cool, but just particu-special numbers. Some of his favorite ones are 1066, 42, and one he shares with Claire, 1701. He also likes it when numbers are reversible, especially dates, like a couple of years ago when it was 12/11/21 and last year when it was 2/22/22 and this year when it was 3/23/23.

I have never been a big numbery or mathy kind of person, but he makes me enjoy at least some of it by getting excited over neat ones like those.

My 398th Journal Entry

Hi, Journal!

The 98th thing I love about my boyfriend is, sometimes he's dumb in a way I can figure out how to fix. Not very often! But when it happens, it's usually a dumb thing that makes him feel bad about himself, so when I tell him how to fix it, I'm also making him feel better. And that feels awesome!

The 99th thing I love about my boyfriend, which I'm going to go ahead and say now so I can blog about something besides my list when I get to my 400th entry in a couple days (and also which I'm going to say because it's an extra important one and I don't want to forget it by holding it off till tomorrow), is that he won't let me say I'm dumb. He's way smarter than I am, so it's easy to compare myself to him (or to Claire or Hettie or okay, just about any of my yams) and think I must be dumb.

But he doesn't let me get away with that!

And if somebody that smart thinks I'm smart too, then I must be a pretty big smarty-pants myself, right? Well maybe not, but at least I'm not a dumbo-pants.

My 397th Journal Entry

Hi, Journal!

The 97th thing I love about my boyfriend is, he has alllll these projects! Stories he's writing on ... artworks he's artworking at ... doll-related things for his girlfriends ... he's even got this "annotated bibliography" he's been working on about all the books of one of his favorite authors.

Probably it's too much for any one person to finish all of it unless they're more willing to neglect their girlfriends than he is.

But he doesn't give up!

396th Journal Entry

Hi, Journal!

The 96th thing I love about my boyfriend is, he's willing to lose sleep over all of us girls in the house! Meaning, if one of us wants to stay up and needs his help with some blogging or something, he'll definitely always do it. Also if the whole bunch of us start playing a game and it gets late but we need to finish.

He yawns a lot, but he's so happy to be up with us!

My 395th Journal Entry

Hi, Journal!

The 95th thing I love about my boyfriend is, he just got me a super-great anniversary present!

(I mean, it's not just for me, it's for pretty much everybody in the household. But I'm still counting it!)
