My 344th Journal Entry

Hi, Journal!

Dangity-dang, yesterday was another oopsy day where I missed writing in my list. But now that I've had several of those, I think I'm deciding they're really just fine ... as long as I make up for it the next day and don't get way behind!

The forty-third thing I love about my boyfriend is his hair. He's always all worried it's thinner than it used to be and greyer than it used to be, but I really like it. It's soft and all distinguished looking and really not as grey at all as a lot of guys his age!

The forty-forth thing I love about my boyfriend is if I ask him something like, "Hey, is grey spelled gray or is grey spelled gray?" he will definitely know the answer. (This time I didn't ask him though, I just kept changing it back and forth until I got tired of trying to figure it out and just left it with an "e".)

The forty-second thing I love about my boyfriend is, he finds the best stuff on youtube!

I don't know how he does it, but honestly, he comes across some really wonderful stuff on that site!

The forty-first thing I love about my boyfriend is how concerned he is about everything! Like, when there are problems in the world, it concerns him. And if he thinks he's not spending enough time with me, it concerns him.

He definitely gets over-concerned sometimes, but even that is almost okay because it gives me a chance to squeeze him and tell him he should lighten up!

Okay, this skipping blogging some days thing is getting out of hand! It's my turn on the Arielleland list today, and since we missed yesterday, I have two things about my boyfriend I have to post, and that's three whole things instead of just one or two!

Anyway ...

The thirty-ninth thing I love about my boyfriend is that when I tell him he'd better help out in making sure I blog every day, he'll be pretty good about doing that.

And the fortieth thing I love about my boyfriend is sharing a milkshake with two big fat straws!

The 38th thing I love about my boyfriend is, he always thoughtfully buys things at the grocery store for us! Tonight he came home with mochis for Akane and a bag of cookies for me and Elle.

The thirty-sixth thing I love about my boyfriend is, going for walks with him and Claire and listening to them talk.

It's like, we can do that, the three of us (or even the whole seven of us) and there can be long stretches of just them talking, and I don't end up feeling jealous or left out or anything. In fact, sometimes he's like, "Oh no, we're leaving Ariel out!" and I have to tell him he's being a goober worrying about it and that they should get back to talking because I really want to hear what they're saying. 

And he does this super-cute thing where he's struggling to do the thing I just told him he ought to do because he knows it will make me happy for him to do it but he also feels like he ought to be paying more attention to me.

Also ...

The thirty-seventh thing I love about my boyfriend is, he always gets around to paying the right amount of attention to me just when I really need it!

He's good that way.

The thirty-fifth thing I love about my boyfriend is, he's very good with sharing leftovers from eating out. Like, if there's food he doesn't eat at a restaurant and he brings it home in a to go box, he's totally okay with me eating it (or one of the other girls eating it).

I mean, it's not super hard for him to be generous because none of us eats a whole bunch, but still.

The 34th thing I love about my boyfriend is, if I get confused one of these days and use the same number for my journal entry number and repeat it as the next number of thing I love about him, so that I end up skipping like a hundred things or something, he won't mind at all!

The thirty-third thing I love about my boyfriend is, sometimes he remembers he loves to read.

Personally, I have not done a ton of reading in my life. But I do like it! And he likes it too (loves it when it goes right), but he hasn't been very good about keeping up the reading habit in a long time.

So seeing him curled up with his Kindle reading something really makes me happy.
